God is the multidimensional field of reality (which is itself an ocean of energy and frequency fields) in which we are embedded that is responsive to consciousness!. When people perceive this connection they personify a deity to explain it!. Our experience of reality is a kind of holographic mirroring of the contents of consciousness!. That is NOT to infer that it is illusion!.

Rather, our evolving field of consciousness is made possible by the human development of a massive thinking brain!. During early childhood while the reptilian/survival and old mammalian/emotional brain are in charge of our survival, we develop a defensive ego identity made up of conditioned beliefs about self and the world which are primarily stored in the subconscious!. These beliefs (illusions about self) control our perception, feelings, thoughts and reactions, so our waking life is mostly delusional and limited!.

God is the just a conceptualised personification of all that is supposed to be good and the devil is the opposite!. These are just concepts in the mind of men, nothing outside there!.

If you are asking about the first cause, the ultimate originator of everything, then that could as well be that the universe itself is "God", meaning that it is self-sustained, most probably didn't have a beginning nor will it have an end, only changes from one form to another!.

NB: the big bang does not say exactly that at that moment, the universe was created out of nothing, it is just the beginning of the present FORM of the universe which means that the universe could have been in another form that we ignore prior to the big bang!.

I get up because I have goals to achieve and nature wakes me up and makes me leave the bed in order to go get food to eat and make use of my limbs!. What else do we need to wake up for apart from the things you habve mentioned!? I think of God as energy!. This energy binds us all together, and drives us at the same time!. Some call it the soul, personality, or character!. That is how I like to put God in human terms!. I find it hard not to believe in a higher power of sorts, a creator if you will!. There are so many unique things in life and the universe is such a vast place that I just can't believe that its all the result of a massive chemical reaction and there is no life but this one!.

I don't believe that a God has a direct control in our life's and is responsible for creating every single human life but rather did the initial work and allowed us to evolve!. At least's that my "ideal"!.

Work doesn't get me out of bed in the morning, neither does my ambition to succeed in a career!. To be honest I don't know of a specific reason that gets me out of bed in the morning apart from too function in society but I do realise that chance encounters and opportunities to make life interesting don't usually happen when your lying down!.
