Ethics boards are required in every profession that touches other people, like medicine, law, and finances!.

Epistemology can be used in psychology, and indeed there is now a branch called Epistemic Psychology!. It is also used in criminal profiling by police!.

Aesthetics is needed in home design, office design, and art criticism!. Every movie and book needs its critics!

But mostly it is for teaching, while teachers are actually writing "ivory tower" tomes for other academics, and mostly in the areas of physics--it would seem!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
