You can also have a great IQ, and possess very little wisdom!. The wise man knows things a knowledgeable person just doesn't get!.Www@QuestionHome@Com While knowledge can be acquired through study, wisdom can only be garnered over time with maturity!. Generally we associate grey hair with wisdom, though that does not necessarily mean that every old person is wise, or that young people can't have "wisdom beyond their years!." Wisdom goes with prudence, and looks for the course of action that will serve the greatest good (benefit the most people) and/or is for the long term good!. While a "knowledgeable person might be able to express their opinion with eloquence, the wise person knows when to express their opinion, and when to keep quiet!. A wise person is not one who is always talking, but listens too!.
