The mirror's capicity even to look at all depends on the existence of other objects; in itself, a mirror does not look!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Ah! There was the realization that I never seen a mirror after a profound meditation and a "high" spiritual state!. At the time I was deep into the study of Zen teachings and other related spiritual teachings!. I was trying to understand the "mirroring eye" that has been spoken about, and suddenly there was the realization, "how is anything not me!?" This came after contemplating that everything is a reflection of my very own consciousness, even the reflection of myself in the mirror!. I went into the bathroom and looked at the mirror neglecting any form, which is indescribable, and wonder how many people have only seen the mirror knowing this is over most people's heads!. The realization that there is no objective reality 'out there' to be found was stunning and replaced by it all takes place 'in here'!. All life is experienced subjectively, to say otherwise is still a subjective statement!. Any hoo, I finally caught a glimpse of the penetration of form that the Buddhas spoke of and what is meant by being the "solitary shinning lamp!." What had seemed like the brink of Enlightenment or Nirvana gradually faded with identification with form!. Not Buddhist, too limiting of a term!.

Mirrors are truly just a reflection of your own thoughts!. When looking in a mirror, that very person is just looking at what they thought all along!. Whether this is that their eyes are too big, their noses too pointed, or their faces too round, you'll find that it all concludes with the very insecurities and thoughts you had before you even set eyes on your reflected self!. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!. That doesn't mean that we are able to create beauty by changing our features for that's called plastic surgery!. It is saying that only our own selves that can determine how attractive we distinguish us to be and no matter how many times others will try to tell you how gorgeous or pretty you are, it is truly you that has a major hand in how you will perceive yourself when you wake up tomorrow morning and face the mirror!.
You will never really glimpse upon yourself in the version of real life, no matter how long you look in the mirror!. The mirror can only show you not what you want to see or even what you should see, but what you have already decided to see!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I am not buddist!. But it interest me to answer !.!.!. its very interesting!. !.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.Hope all will like it!.

A mirror looks like the index of you which reflect vertically!. in front of you!. And there is a unseen baricade which you can't get into it!.

But it can be in water also where you can get into it and swill into the mirror image in liquid!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Nice question!.

I was staring at my wall mirror thinking!.!. thinking of how a mirror looks like!. My thoughts were:

The mirror looks like me
the mirror looks like my surface, and doesnt surpass that
the mirror reflects my life and my surroundings
the mirror is me

Then after an hour or so, it hit me!. The mirror doesnt look like anything, it looks like nothing!. Nothing at all!.

Hope people would get this!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

i'm not buddhist, i'm christian, but i reply to this with :

Whatever you want it to be! You only see what you choose to see! You cant look in a mirror without seeing youself! (dont argue) And you will see yourself, but what else!?
beauty!?
Hatred!?
Lies!?
Love!?
Grace!?
What!? If you dont love and respect yourself, you wont see anything good in a mirror! You tell youself what to see in that mirror! Now ask yourself these: What do you want to see in the mirror!? How can you make it happen!? Do you see exactly what you want already!?

One last thought:
The Mirror Of Erised (In Harry Potter, notice, erised is desire backwards) is close to a real mirror, but a real mirror will only show you how you want to see yourself, a mirror, will show you what you actually are! If you dont like it, you need to fix a few things!.!.!.!.mentally! You dont need anything but your mind to see beauty in the mirror!Www@QuestionHome@Com

A mirror looks like an outside object's mirror image created internally in the mirror in your mind!.

The image in the mirror is never the same, as the person who looks in the mirror is not the same!.

The mirror is a mirror image of nothing, looking at nothing, and creating something from nothing!. The self creating an image of itself!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
