When that happens, I usually listen to something like 'Pierrot lunaire' by Schoenberg!. A lot of his compositional structure is built around silence (as well as his 'atonal' 12 tone scales ?)

Out of exasperation, I usually shut the music off altogether!.!.!.and let the silence consume me, while looking for some peace of mind!.!.!.until I feel I am finally ready to listen to a different tune!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

That would depend on what position you hold in the band!. If you are the singer/songwriter and don't like what you are doing, leave the band and let them find a new singer !.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'd try changing the tunes, experimenting with new sounds before I would break up the band (though in an extreme case I might have to do that as well)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
