I think we will have robots but let's hope it doesn't turn into "I, Robot"!. Good movie though!. I think cars will be replaced with something inexpensive and bio-friendly to run on!. Houses!.!.!. who knows!. Phones will probably be like seeing the person's face and actually talking to them!. The other things will probably be more advanced but who knows!. That's way it's called the future!.!.!.no one really knows!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It all depends on the time span, or what you consider 'the future'!.

In all possibility, though, I do believe that telephones, cars, houses and such will be obsolete!. At one point I do believe that the entire world will become one massive city!. All the land will be consumed through construction, overpopulation and technological advancement!. Everything will be run on computers, and the concept of connecting humans and computers together for communication could become plausible!. Therefore forming a "robot" -- in a sense!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, telephone books are pretty much already obsolete!. They will be on the Internet!.

The TV merger with the computer will probably be the next major move by computers!.

Houses will become smaller as the cost of living increases and the standard of living continues to fall in the USA!. Sorry, but neither presidential candidate can do anything about it as it is the fault of the ignorant public and not their leaders!. If you have an SUV you are part of the problem!.

Robots may become more available but they will be too expensive for most people!. An automatic vacuum is about the best you can do for now!.

The biggest changes will be in designer genes, and I mean genetic genes!. Modifying the genes to control athletic abilities, good looks, intelligence, and even things like the type or color of hair, skin, etc!. will become common place!. Those who don't opt for increasing the intelligence of their children by 50 IQ points will be raising a family of servants to those that do!. There will be a significant generational gap between the older, ugly, stupid generation and the beautiful, intelligent, younger generation!. A sad period for some who thought that they would be able to stay in control or even communication with their superior offspring!. Some parental murders of their abusive children or vise versa will probably happen!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

There is no reason to think that we won't be using phones, computers, cars or living in houses in 50 or even 100 years!. We have had houses for 1000 years, phones and cars for over 100 years TV's for 50 and computers for 20!. But all will likley have new capability and some will take new forms!.

100 years from now maybe there won't be central power plants, as each building/house may have it's own power supply!.
We will still be driving cars, but probably electric!. And they will drive themselves mostly!. I don't think we will be flying around in them though!. We will still be using telephones!. We will still be watching I love Lucy on TV (we still watch Shakespere after 400 years)!. But maybe TV will be a direct sensory experience rather than a presentation of light and sound!. We will have robots, but instead of mechanical beings that do our bidding, they will be specific-purpose appliances to perform a task!. Do you have a personal relationship with your washing machine or dishwasher!? They are just bots that don't move around!.

The future will be astonishing, in as little as 50 years, certainly 100!. But daily life would be perfectly recognizable to us today!. If you plucked someone form 200 years ago and dropped them into your house they would see familiar things - Books, furniture, a fireplace, table ware, cooking pots, linens, beds, doors, windows, carpets, lamps, etc!.

If you brought someone from 50 years ago, they may be fascinated with your cell phoine, but they would recognize as a phone and know exactly how to use it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think everything will minimize!. Everything nowadays, is about making it smaller, more inconspicuous and easier to carry!.
Phones might just become an m'n'm sized dot we stick inside the ear, computer screens are actually on your glasses, cars just get smaller and more people-shaped or transversible (as in a cracked-out Chitty Chitty Bang Bang)!.!. houses become Jetson-y and we'll have intimate relationships with robots!.!. that includes sex!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Many new things will be developed (they always are, on an increasing rate)!. We have robots now, you know, and they get more sophisticated daily!. Did you know there are robots creating original art at Carnegie-Mellon right now!? Computers will get better, communications will get better, video presentations will get better, transportation will get better, medical care will get better!. On the other hand, not only will there be a lot of people longing for "the good old days", who can tell how government will go!? The future holds great prospects for humanity!.

We probably will have robots, but not to the over-dramatized extent that is Sci Fi movies!.
The robots we will probably have in the future would serve basic purposes to make human life easier, and less hard!.

In about 50 years, I think there will definitely be a drastic change in our life on Earth, but not EXTREMELY drastic!.

Cars won't in the flying stage yet, but sometime they will be!. Cell phones will be even smaller, computers won't even have screens!. A holographic image will appear!. Houses will have smart technology, where you can get something done at the sound of your voice or the touch of a button!. Security will be more effective too!. Robots are kind of passe!. With many factories barely needing people anymore, robots are here to stay!. Computers and T!.V!. will be a projection on your desk and wall that operates just like your present Computer and TV!.
