Question: Does the way a question is phrase, insuates anything!?
For example, I knew my sister was cooking eggs and bacon!. She just asked me, "Do you want scramble eggs!?"!. i knew she was not leaving me a choice!. I said whatever is easy for you!. She said your right, because if i didn't say scramble eggs, then i will have to cook them myself!. I said she should have said, "I'm cooking scramble eggs, do you want some!?"!. It makes a difference!. She disagrees!. Can you settle this for us!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Little johnny and little jimmy were sitting in the kitchen when their dad came in!.

What would you like for breakfast johnny!? dad asked!.

'I want a f@%#ing egg' replied johnny

Well dad was astonished and he beat johnny severely and sent him to his room

'And what do you want for breakfast Jimmy!?' dad asked sternly

'Well I don't want an effin egg that's for sure!'Www@QuestionHome@Com

look at it this way!.!.!.!. be glad that you were offered scramble eggs, be happy the offer was there, all that matters is the eggs got into the stomach, now put it this way!.!.!. there are probably millions of kids in Africa, who pray for small pieces of bread, and would love it if your sister asked them for some scrabbled eggs!. Listen, you should start worrying when she doesn't ask, but believe me I do get what you are saying though!. Some times people have their way of asking some thing, and they either knowingly twist in some sort of a way, or unknowingly ask it in a way that may seem strange!. The point is do your best to not to get upset with these sorts of things!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The way any sentence is worded does indeed "insinuate" or imply its own message!. That is called "syntax," and it's why syntax is so important!.

It is the syntax of the Second Amendment of the Constitution of the U!.S!. that causes the argument: "Do you have to be in the militia to own a gun!?"

But your sister didn't have to ask anything other than what she asked!. She was making scrambled eggs, you both knew that, and she asked if you wanted some!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The actual sentence matters less than effectively communicating a message!. It sounds like you had no trouble understanding what she meant because this is a very common way to communicate the idea that she is planning to cook scrambled eggs and will make you some if you want them!. It's only a problem when it isn't clear!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes, it does!. I knowingly phrase my questions this way so I don't get stuck doing something I don't want to!. If I wanted to make the eggs I would say, "How do you want your eggs!?" or "Do you want eggs!?"Www@QuestionHome@Com

Semantics change everything and every question has a sub question!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
