I'm working on the same thing myself!. I think first you have to start small!. Be kind to everyone, and love everyone!. John-Paul II said once, "I appeal to all of you, wherever you are, whatever you are doing, to see the face of a brother or sister in the face of every human being!. What unites us is so much more than what separates and divides us: it is our common humanity!." In the end, we're all in this together!. All that it takes to truly love someone is to see them as who they truly are!. Next time you go out, people-watch!. Realize that every person you see has a life story, his own worries, problems, hopes and dreams!. Every person you see has been put on this earth and has to find meaning in this life or die trying!. Love everyone you see, and spread that love!. Smile at everyone you pass (but not too much, or you'll look like a pedophile)!. Then, only after you have made peace with yourself and your community, can you change the world!. When you reach that point, it's really up to just how far you're willing to go!. You could donate money to charity or organize a protest, but in the end I believe that won't do anything!. Travel the world and spread the love (in a completely non-hippy way)!. Or, go to very drastic measures, and go to Iraq (not as a soldier, as a traveller)!. Stand in the face of a gun and say why peace is good!. Sure, the person with the gun would laugh in your face then shoot you, but at least you made an impact!.

I believe the only way to work towards world peace is understanding and accepting different people!. we need to look at a situation not through or own eyes, but through our neighbors!. unfortunately thats not the way most people are taught to think!. i am a pacifist because of my mother!. if she had been a hat mongering racist then i would have become on too we most teach our children to be accepting !.Most people fear whats different and try to attack and destroy it that's what they teach their children whether they know it or not!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
