Fascinating question!. Apparently simple choice, and a no-brainer in terms of overall benefit to everyone, but it has certainly brought out the selfish nature of mankind in some of the contributors, and given an insight into why World Peace is so difficult a target to reach!. While people feel able to say that the rest of the world is no concern of theirs as long as they have financial security, World Peace ( by whatever definition) will be unattainable!. Of course, those few who actually own 10 billion maintain their wealth by investing in, among other self-sustaining destructive industries, weapons manufacture!. If all the world's billionaires withdrew their investments from the weapons industry, and if all of us small fry who have any savings decided to use only ethical investments, and if all the young men who see the armed forces as a career and a step out of poverty decided to go into other work, and if all of us lobbied our politicians for arms embargos against the nastier rogue states, and if we asked more questions about exactly why we need new generations of weapons (and don't say it's because the enemy has them, because in Iraq and Afghanistan our military use high-tech weapons against people who have basic rifles, machine guns and who use suicide tactics), and if we actually lived out the ideas of Democracy and the responsibilities of the citizen that are at the heart of the political systems in the US and UK that would be a small step towards World Peace, and it would be worth more than any amount of luxury or fantasised security that any one of us could purchase with 10 billion!. And the irony is that it only takes some modest action by a few people to begin to change the world!. Perhaps we need to remember the Boston Tea Party and ask ourselves the question: Who will begin to act to secure World Peace - If not you, who!? If not now, when!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Very reluctantly probably world peace!. Assuming it's everlasting, and good peace!. Or at least VERY long and good!. Ten billion's a lot of cash!.

Although, having said that, I'd hopefully go on to become a celebrity for being the person who had given up immense wealth for the world!. And maybe make back those 10 bill, or enough of it so that I can live how I want without financial trouble (several tens of millions should be enough)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Give me the dosh!. What does 'world peace' mean!? People will always disagree!. Is it world peace if there is a fight down the pub!? What about a heated exchange of views at the bus-stop!? Is it world peace if one country is holding another to ransom economically!? Is it world peace of one country abuses its own population!? See, we are not really sure what world peace is!. No, just give me the wad of folding stuff and the world can get on with doing what the hell it wants!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It all depends on what world peace means!. If it means I can live forever and stay young forever, and have unlimited time to make money, then I will take world peace!. Otherwise, I will take the money!. And I don't even need 10 billions, 1 billion will do just fine!. Actually 200 thousands will suffice!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Simple answer, £10 Billion, because world peace is impossible, or should I say, will never happen, any how, with £10 Billion, maybe i could try and put it to use, in one way or another, maybe try to contribute to world peace or world hunger, in one way or another!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Give me the money!.

If you force "world peace" on people - it's not possible, but let's assume for the sake of argument it is - then you take away their freedom to disagree with each other, which would be dehumanising!. ie, they wouldn't truly be people any more, just blissed-out zombies!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Sorry!. I gotta choose world peace - even if it's only for 10 minutes! That much money brings unwanted responsibility, makes it hard to know who likes you for you and I don't even need close to that to be comfortable and happy - so it would be a waste!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Definitely world peace, as long as it included a PERMANENT end to violence, sickness, drought and poverty!. No question!.

Incidentally, world peace is no more impossible than my attaining £10 billion!Www@QuestionHome@Com

World peace that is if you mean for ever, there would be no thinking about it I'd go for world peace, or just the saving of one child's life, You can keep the money one life saved would be more rewarding for me!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Given the nature of man, "World Peace" is likely
to last about 5 Seconds, !.!.!.if we're lucky!.
Take the Ten Bil!. - It'll last a bit longer!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
