Morality is relative only to the current society's views and to a particular individual's beliefs, and in most cases comes down to a matter of opinion!. Sometimes public opinion and personal opinion are in conflict!. Whenever a decision needs to be made based on opinions of morality in this "grey area," a man knows that his decision will be the wrong one (even if its the right one), and he should just let the woman make the decision!.

In summary, its not that the men find it impossible to make a moral decision!. Its that they are smart enough to know when its not worth trying!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I don't find that be an observation regarding morality!.

I find it to be just another excuse, for women who don't trust men and for men who don't trust women!.

Men and women do the same thing; we just do it differently!.

An observation regarding morality might go like this!.

"Do you find that men, once having made their moral decision, find it more fun to get their woman to announce the decision while he sits back and grins!?"

Now, another possible question regarding morality might go like this!.

"Do women find it impossible to believe that men don't want them to do everything for them; including manipulating moral decisions that he made long ago!?"

Now, this might also be a moral question!.

When we realize that we are different and want the best for each other then these questions really don't matter!. Boys and girls are different!.

This is not true, it assumes a lot of variables of which there is very little factual basis!. The writer of this statement is making the generalization that men cannot make moral decisions because of an emotional or mental deficiency that women are somehow endowed with!. This concept may come from the phrase 'behind every great man is a great woman'!. This phrase has been invariably linked to the feminist movement, which makes me think that the writer of this statement is involved with the same!.

Our society and upbringing inclines us either to more masculine or feminine, more object or subjective!. This will reflect on how we make up our minds, a man weighing up the odds of a situation while a woman weighs up the emotional dynamic of a situation!. This means that it if a child was trapped in car with an older man that was sinking into a river, where the child is on the furtherest side from the surface and unconscious while the man was conscious near the surface a man may see that the man in the car has a greater chance of survival and so work to rescue the man while leaving the child to its fate!. A woman on the other hand may try to save the child at the expense of the mans life!. This is not a failing on either side it just shows that both sides of the equation operate differently from one another!.

I could go on like this but I would like to draw your attention to cases like that of William Wilberforce, the British parliamentarian who got the bill to abolish slavery passed in England as well as setting up animal and social welfare systems!. It was not until after he had made the decision that the thing of his time were morally wrong and began changing the what he could that he was married, or even 'dating'!. It was the social order of the day that everything remain as is, slavery and cruelty to animal and man, so his decision to change the world can not easily be placed on his upbringing and/or his mother!.

Moral character and certitude is not dependant on gender!. Of course there is a more simple explanation for why men seek the opinion of women in moral matters, may be we don't want to piss women off for fear of retribution!. Just a thought!.

Rubbish, it depends on the person and what he or she regards as Morals, For example if you are a strict church going person then you would have a very different idea of Morals than me, and I always try to make the right choice, Morals is a personal thing anyway!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
