Here and there I read up on a well known philosopher and patterns of philosophy changes over time!. It sounds odd, but Bruce Lee (actor/ Jeet Kun Do creator) wrote great poetry and notes on philosophy, which his wife and John Little compiled into books after his death!. He studied philosophy in school and in leisure!. He makes some really great points and I think his writings re genius and vey beneficial to introspective people!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, I have a BA in it!. I am about to start grad school, but I will be doing more interdisciplinary work there, so I will be studying a little bit of philosophy, sociology, general humanities, and maybe history!. After that, however, I intend to go back into a philosophy program!. I just wanted to branch out a little bit, since I believe that the best philosophers have a broad intellectual base to work from and a good understanding of the fields which study some of the same matters as them!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I do!. I also am a lawyer!. Hopefully I will get into a PhD program relatively soon!. I was born and I studied in Mexico!.

This question actually is becoming handy!. Probably we should have a list of academic philosophers in Y! Answers, because, frankly, most of the questions I read in here are actually confusing philosophy with:

- "say whatever comes to your mind";
- psychology (not that it is not, but It is still polemic, so one cannot have that as fully proved);
- literature (mostly poetic writing);
- linguistics, foreign and local, academic or idiosyncratic;
- debate room; and,

I do!. It's a wonderful subject!. I focus on units such as religious studies and ancient philosophers!. Fascinating - except when you have closed-minded people in your class!. To study it I guess you have to be very open to ideas and opinions!. But it's great!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I have studied it and a lot of it can be pretty dull unless you mix a little psychology with it or a few witty anecdotes with it or a few metaphors with it or a few funny famous quotes to it or talk about the irony in certain philosophies and how humorous they can be!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
