If i try to count the thoughts per minute,i am afraid i may become schizophrenic because one part of my mind tries to count the thoughts and other part of the mind counts the number of seconds with lot of tension!.I think it is better to be aloof of this thought traffic rather than counting them with tension and also the idea of counting thoughts itself is a thought!.I am afraid things are getting complicated,for heavens sake we will leave it for now!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

yeah but my thoughts get me thinking about something else than counting my thoughts!. But i think "damn I'm smart to be thinking so many things per fricken second"
But then, the things I think about others couldn't care less about!. and i guess it's not about being smart!.

It is a brilliant idea which I might try!.

I have done meditation where we observe the thoughts, this is called as Pratyahara(by Vivekananda), and there I have actually observed my thoughts as a continuous chain linked with one another!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
