If there is some reward for accepting the lies or one stands to lose if they acknowledge the truth!. If the lies are repeated by many & the truth is seldom mentioned by a few!. If the lies are well presented & attatched to a pleasing image, next to the ugly truth!. When they are louder & clearer & delivered with confidence!. If they come from a source you want to believe in!.
If they are helping to win an argument or provide a simple excuse!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Lies i think would be sound better if it is in the interest and benefit of the welfare of the general public although it's presence with truth is not at all accepatable, However, such existence of lies in the presence of truth and in disguise of lies sometimes plays a very good role in order not to hurt others feeling!. Sometimes it rather covers the truth at the advantage of lies!.

I believe you are talking about white lies!. White lies are lies which are believed to be harmless(However, there is some debate whether such lies may exist)!.

Lies with presence of truth doesnt really make the lie "reliable"!. We use white lies just to make the person feel better, or to make the person feel relieved, etc!.

Say your friend wore her favorite dress and she knows for a fact that she dont look so good, she asked you whether she looks okay or not, will you bluntly say 'you look bad' or would "sugarcoat" your words!? Will you risk your friendship or just lie your way out!? Some people do appreciate lies, especially in situations like this, it shows that you care for that person very much!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

when you are saying them to spare someones feelings for the sake that the truth will hurt them even more!.!.!.!.!.

i try not to do that as i feel that even though the truth is gonna hurt you its better you get hurt and heal than have a delay in that and the wound becomes bigger!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You may stretch the truth a bit to console someone in a bad situation, ie, "It'll be alright!." That sounds better than telling them they're in trouble, and rubbing the truth in their faces!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
