Question: Why do artefacts mutate !?
"Derrida's insights include the notion that whenever language expresses an idea it changes it!. Furthermore, any text will at some stage say the opposite of what it appears to be saying and produce a multitude of diverse meanings!."
(A brief history of philosophy, D!. Johnston, Continuum, 2006)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Probably is related to metaphysics or ontology!.
The attempted communication of the abstract is reliant upon the tangible!.
But one may dispute this with an appeal to intuition where experience that results in an abstract is want to be considered valid!.
also most abstract things refer to a broader idea of a static real world object that can be argued to be a misconception of sensory perception as made evident by a refinement of observation that is to say that static real world objects are existent in reality as a dynamic interaction of many other objects and thus have no distinction of a definition without a necessity of a paradigm that relates to the object represented as an abstraction as static or enduring in form!.
As for the mutation of artefact's to me it would seem the reason is self apparent if this is what is suggested by the person!.
Simply put words are what we use to construct abstract concepts that may or may not represent real world (sensory experience resulting in tangible perception) objects or mind objects!.
Letters would be the tools we use to construct words!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

D!. Johnston clearly did not understand what Derrida meant!. He's an idiot!

I'm also a *very* big fan of Chomsky!. If he said Derrida was an elitist obfuscater, then I tend to trust his word!. Obfuscater only try to impress women for worldly pleasures!. I only respect people trying to improve the human condition - and make it accessible to everyone!.

So risking my neck by saying something stupid, I'd say Derrida was an arrogant a**hole, and reading any of what he wrote is probably just another attemt in impressing women for worldly pleasures!

P!.S!.: according to Derrida this post should at some stage say that he was a genius, only driven by the humble idea of livelong solitude and abstinence!.

Wait a second !.!.!. damn! He was right!

P!.P!.S!.: If you can deny the truth of any statement, turn Hitler into a great Humanitarian and blame Buddhism for all the suffering in the world, then we as a civilization really have a problem!. I start to think this D!. Johnston really is an idiot for even reading Derrida, let alone writing about him!. Of course what he said was: "Derrida prooved that no statement ever changes its meaning," and "ideas cannot be changed by language!."
