In the USA, criticism and disagreement even to the point of ridicule are both civil rights guaranteed by the constitution!. It's freedom of speech!. A citizen can even ridicule the president's beliefs; that's what makes the USA great--not even a president can dicate what the citizens think or say!. Citizens might exercise some intelligence about how they use that freedom, but the bottom line is that if someone wants to criticize another's point of view or beliefs, they can, and it's a guaranteed right!.

As human beings, they have the right to express their opinions, whether you deem them ridicule or not!. On the same token, you have the right to your own personal convictions!.

When they ridicule, they are actually doing you a service!. If you find their ridicule has a grain of truth, then you can adjust your beliefs to better correspond with your life!.

They only have the ability to ridicule your beliefs insofar as you see yourself to be ridiculed!. Rights are matters of opinion--we all have the right to do whatever is in our ability!. This may not be legally correct, but I feel that anyone has the right or freedom to form their own opinion, but they do not have a right to ridicule my personal belief unless I ask them for their opinion!. No one knows the heart of a person, nor their entire belief unless it has been so stated!. When someone states publically their belief, then they have publically asked for public opinions!. Yes!.!.!.as others mentioned, they have the right!. It just shows you what kind of person they are, though, if they choose to ridicule you just because your beliefs are different than theirs!.
