To be insulted we have to first perceive a need to defend ourselves!. What energy does an insult have when it is not energized by our own reaction!? I find it best just to keep my peace!. My response would be "Thank you I love these shoes too - I am glad you noticed!." If it is a personal insult my favorite is - "I can assure you I know myself much better than you and I am truly much worse than you say!." or "I agree with you but I think we might be wrong!."Www@QuestionHome@Com

If you answer that type of question at all, you are feeding into their rudeness!. It gives them a chance to come up with something else!.

If you don't answer at all, just look at them, then walk away, you pull them into a "vacuum" that they will never forget, and they may learn a lesson!.

A person with poor manners does not deserve communication from anyone!. They are usually shunned by society anyway!.
