Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Marcus Aurelius said the same thing! He said that those wanting to be known after they die is as absurd as wanting to be known by those who lived before you!. And even all those that will remember you will some day die and so on!. And others remembering us will certainly do us no good!. It is a vanity thing!. We can't stand the thought that we are nothing!. Or that the one thing in us that is everything has nothing to do with our minds and bodies!.Www@QuestionHome@Com because some ppl believe that they will go to heaven and be able to look down on earth, and when they look down they want to know that ppl cared that they died and that they accomplished something!.!.!.!.i guess it depends alot on religion and belief!. me i don't want a statue or anything but i want to know i left a positive impact on ppls livesWww@QuestionHome@Com Because it's the closest thing to immortality that anyone will ever get!. There are billions of people on the planet, but history only remembers a few per generation!.
