True, but sometimes it is subconscious!. I donate to several charities, and I do so not only because it helps others, but because it also makes me feel good!. I read an article not too long ago about how doing things for others gives you the most self-satisfaction!. Nobody is completely selfless!. Everyone has to be selfish at times, whether you like it or not!. The statement (in my opinion) is true because everything we do is based upon our feelings and thoughts!. If you feel differently, that will affect the outcome and our actions!. For example, you're a kind and generous person most of the time!. A friend asks you to help her with her homework!. Since you're kind and helpful, you'll agree and hwlp her out, and feel really good about what you did!. If you're selfish and doesn't like to interact with others, you'll obviously shun her away and refuse!. Everyone is different and you have your own personal values and beliefs!. Things that you do is based on yourself!. The world evolves around you and what you do, how you think, how you feel, and what you like can be totally different than your best friend that you've known since kindergarten!.
