No, I would've been a completely different person!. I'm sure of it!. There are certain events in my life that have shaped me into the person I am and have provided me with my own perspective on life!. Had I been born in a different place or lived a different childhood, I wouldn't be the same!. However, I can only dream about that other me and know that in this lifetime I am what I am!. If circumstances of my life were different, then I would have had different experiences, which would have influenced my opinions of things and possibly my world view!. But many aspects of a person's personality and physicality are influenced by their DNA, which means these things are determined before they are born!. So, essentially, I would still be the same person; it's just that some of the details would be different!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

it depends- are you a modernist or a dualist!?
we are all a product of a) our experiences- as in, no, you woulnd't be who you are now, because you'd have had a different life!
and b) our inherent qualities- personality traits we are born with!.

If my circumstances were different, I would not be the same!. All people affect and are effected by their circumstances!. So, if my circumstances were different, I would have done different things and learned different skills!. My trials and tribulations, my success and my advancements have made me what I am because of the circumstances in my life directing my decisions that affect my life!.

Well in terms of inherited genetics yes I would have the same characteristics and behaviors!. So it would not matter what events transpired in my life I would still act the same!.

But I've read stories where twins were separated at birth and they end up having similar experiences in many cases in life!.

For the most part I believe I am who I am from years of dealing with my envirnment!. The things that have been traumatic, the things that have been seen as failures, the people and things and ideas that I have loved have all made me what I am!. Of course not!. If I hadn't gone through the things I have I wouldn't feel the way I do about things that are happening now and will happen in the future!. My past makes me react in a different way than other people and makes me draw different conclusions from people!.
