As to if it happens, yes, there are too many people who report seeing, experiencing something to discount!. As to what it is that is actually happening!.!.!.!.!. that's still up for grabs!.
It could be the brain hallucinating because of oxygen loss, causing the person to "view" things that are near to their core beliefs!. It would explain why Christians many times see angels or heaven and followers of other religions will see things associated with their beliefs!. Or maybe they're actually seeing heaven!. Yes i believe it to be real as when i was beat almost to death i seen my granny and cousin trying to get me to take their hand and the feeling i had inside of me was like the most wonderful i have even known!.I remember then waking up in the hospital hooked up to life support and wanted to go back to my granny' but God wanted me here as my time was not up yet!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Haven't experienced one yet! But have seen someone come back, after having almost GONE!.!.!.Miraculously!

Hallucinations, dreams, realities, whatever, are difficult to tell apart at such a stage!.
