Question: What do you think love is!?
for a poem i need to know what other people belive love is, through an object, personal experience etc!.!.!.

this is what i've got for my poem its just missing something!.

Some say love is blind,
and some say it’s the only color
the blind can see!.
Some say it’s unwritten
between the pages of a note book
Something that is there yet it’s not

Some people find love easily
other search forever,
And never find what they are looking for,
Whether you are looking or not,
you have to earn its regard

You can say I love you or I hate you,
But no matter what you say,
its how you let that one person know
you will always care,
That you don’t have to use certain words
to express the way you feel

When you realize you love someone, it is a moment of utter confusion!. Your poem is too liquid!. It's nice, but not memorable!. You are not really saying anything!. Give some specific examples of what love does!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'm not confident in my own words!. But I like these!.

"Love is patient, love is kind!. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud!. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs!. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth!. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres!."

1 Corinthians 13:4-7!.
The rest of the chapter is more good stuff on love!.

"Love is the ultimate truth at the heart of creation!."

Shakespeare's sonnet 116:

Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments!. Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove:
O no! it is an ever-fixed mark
That looks on tempests and is never shaken;
It is the star to every wandering bark,
Whose worth's unknown, although his height be taken!.
Love's not Time's fool, though rosy lips and cheeks
Within his bending sickle's compass come:
Love alters not with his brief hours and weeks,
But bears it out even to the edge of doom!.
If this be error and upon me proved,
I never writ, nor no man ever loved!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Love, true love, meaningful love,,,

is giving of yourself until it hurts!. Love is, among other things, like a muscle!.

In a gym, if you want to build a bigger bicep, you must lift weight, and heavy weight!. Eventually your muscle begins to hurt, then it's sore for a few days, but the muscle gets bigger after!.

Love is like that!. Your not truly loving someone until you give of your self selflessly, expecting nothing in return!. Believe me, wether from the actual person you just showed love to, or someone else, you will get loved back, in some way or another!.

The main key with true love, is to give of yourself, expecting nothing!. Because love is self-less!. Not selfish!. If you are giving to someone, expecting something from them, your not loving them!. Your just going thru the motions, trying to get what YOU want, instead of truly giving, for the sake of giving!.

Love is not goose bumps!.

Think of a starving child in a foreign country!. Who doesn't wish they could just fly over their and spend 6 months feeding that child nourishing meals!.

Do we expect that starving child to give something back to us!? Of course not!

That's the same love-force that we must give to any of our relationships!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
