I makes sense to me!.

You go into a fast food resturant to order something to fill your stomach!. A couple double cheeseburgers at 700 calories each and large fries at 800 calories!.!.!. then a drink!.!. Hmmm you've already exceeded your calorie intake for the day, do you really want to add another 500 calories with a sugar drink or would your stomach be just as satisfied with a diet drink!.!.!.

I'm pertty sure people don't just do that because they "think it evens out the rest" I think people who eat like that are concious about what they eat and knwo that a diet instead of a regular soda will make no difference, the reason I think is because some prefer diet coke over regular for the taste, I know alot of people like that, even though diet is more unhealthy for youWww@QuestionHome@Com

It's not a philosphy question - it's a practical one!. If you have a weight problem switching to diet soft drinks is a fairly easy and painless way to knock a lot of calories out of your diet!. It's a step!. So you do what you can do!. Maybe next year you can move to knocking out cheeseburgers too!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If I was ordering that combo it would be because I'm insulin resistant and am supposed to stay away from sugar!. Of course, I'm supposed to stay away from potatoes and hamburger buns too, but the diet coke seems to make the carb overload balance out!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
