We want to live by each others' happiness, not by each other's misery!. We don't want to hate and despise one another!. In this world there is room for everyone!. This speech is good, but it will not get very far!. Churchills speech on Play up play up and play the game achieved a goal of rallying ranks and giving the the moraal to win a war however, did!. The poem that was based on was designed for the purpose and Chaplin's speech was designed for the sympathy vote, so as one of many great speeches, but not the best!. The best was probably Socrates giving his final speech, "So which to his better end"Www@QuestionHome@Com
Maybe!. It's definately up there with the Martin Luther King speech!. But this can be applied more generally than the MLK speech to be honest!.
Although, I can't understand why someone would say Charlie Chaplin was a nasty piece of work!? Maybe it's something I do not know of him but he was a great entertainer and that speech just pretty much sums up the person he was and everything he believed in as you see much of his personality in everything he did throughout his life!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes, we can make the world better!. We can fix it!. We know how!. And the point is not to tell us how or inspire us to do it!. Oh yes, I want the world to be better!. I want to fix it!. I don't despair!. I have hope so don't think of me as pessimistic!.
The point is, however, to know that it is impossible!. Whatever mankind does, no matter how we change!. It won't work!. Mankind will always have an evil!. We can stop it for the moment!. Yes, we can do that!. The world can be rid of all evil!.
But let's say the world is rid of evil!. We will live happily until the next generation comes along!. They will want more! They will be willing to hurt other men for more! All of a sudden, We have evil upon us! It will happen again and agian!.
As long as there are men in this world we will have evil among us!
It is human nature! I am not saying that all men are evil!. There are plenty of good men out there! But it only takes a few evil men to ruin it all for us! So, the point is that we need to learn how to deal with evil among us! We need not to learn how to repel it but to contain it!. If we can contain evil the world will be better!. We will need to keep on containing it as the new generations come along!. But if we contain them also our work will not go to waste!
Again, I want the world to be better!. I want to fix it!. I don't despair!. I have hope so don't think of me as pessimistic!. I'm trying to help you not bring you down!.
