Yes!.

During the 1960s and 1970s, a generation of young person, all attempting to be non-conformist, all grew their hair, wore old clothes, dropped out, tuned in, played guitars and tried to live in a manner as different as possible from all of the more conventional persons and the established or more usual order of folks as possible!.

It was great fun and created many a fond memories however, we all virtually ended up being the same and were well identifiable in our "unique" sameness!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

non-conformity can only be focused on social ideas and has to have an idea of what it looks like to not conform to the social idea!. if you want to not conform to the social idea of wearing clothes in public then you will create an idea of how far you need to go in order to consider yourself not conforming!. this could be complete nakedness or underwear!.

There is no such thing as a non-conformist human being!.!.!.!. there are just varying degrees of popularity among sub-groups!. People who conform to a less popular sub-group consider themselves non-conformists because they see less people like themselves!.

My favorite thing ever is the goth kids that think they are not conforming, yet they intentionally consider themselves goth!.!.!.!.!. which is conforming to the norm of goth!. They even wear eye make-up to ensure they conform properly to their sub-group of goths!. It is hysterical!.
