Question: Is "Free Will" just a semantic game!?
i think it is!.

this is not a science experiment, it is the passage of "time" on planet Earth!.

There is no way to test this argument, so i view it as unanswerable!.

Look at the passage of time, relative to human life!. It goes forward and that is that!.

Call it whatever you want, cause-and-effect, pre-determined destiny, whatever!. I think the free-will debate is a silly semantic game for people with too much time!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No, I'm pretty sure "Free Willy" was just a movie!. No one ever made it into a game!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Free will is not a semantic game but it is a flawed concept, along with its opposite determinism!.

The reason why the concept became important was for religious reason!. The idea separated the Calvanists, who were deteminist, from much of the rest of Christianity, who believed in free will!. The Calvanists believed that God had determined who was going to heaven and there was nothing anyone could do to change things!.

Of a more interesting observation or question is why do we feel like we have free will!? That is an interesting phenomenological question and is addressed by Dr!. Shaun Gallagher in his book "How the Body Shapes the Mind"!. Free will is an illusion is the best answer but both free will and determinism lead to contradictions and paradoxes, so both concepts are flawed!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

its not about semantics, its about not knowing our boundaries!. to understand this you need to think deeper and further away!.

were in the beck and call of the law of nature, the law of the universe, how can there be free will, freedom is limited and they call it free when you break down one of the limitations!.
but ultimately there is no free will, not semantics, just factsWww@QuestionHome@Com

People seem to make the concept of free will to be more than it is!.!.!.!.!.!. If you boil it down you will see that free will is just the ability to formulate a yes or a no to any given situation/question!.

If you think about any given decision as a series of 1's and 0's!.!.!.!. yes or no!.!.!.!.!. you can understand why we are said to have free will!. When you have to pee you can go to the bathroom or hold it in!.!.!.!.!. you can decide what you want to do in that given scenario therefore your will is free!. This does not suggest that you are free to never pee again in the future, but for every moment in time we have free will with our decisions!. You can drive your car off a bridge, or you can drive home!.!.!.!.!. you can eat a whole pie or have a salad!.!.!.!.!. these are all a series of yes no variables that we choose on a second by second basis!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

What is Free Will supposed to be free from!?

The answer is causality!.

And there is no logical reason to believe this!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
