I don't know!.!.!. in the end, he doesn't really benefit Oliver, because he introduces him to one of the main antogonists, but he also doesn't expressly doom him!.

He is basically neutral!. He is bad in that he teaches bad morals to impressionable children, and he is good in that if he didn't take them in, they would usually be in much worse situations!.

Although he is just doing this for his own benefit!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think its hard to define him as either!.
He does take in orphans and "cares for them" but then again he uses them for his own benefit to steal!. I think he has somewhat a conscience but he knows he is corrupted and part of the criminal underworld!. I think in the circumstances hes looking out for himself!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Fagin is a baddies Thatt has accepted the fact he is a baddie!. He doesn't pretend to be anything else!. So I guess in a round-about way he is honest in his badness, so does tha make Him somewhat good!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

hes a baddie!!
look at his reasons for doing anything!. everything has a bad motive!.
so he offers a 'home' to the homeless but the motive is greed!.
so morally he's a badddieWww@QuestionHome@Com

I see him as a goodie because he doesn't let little boys starve on the streets - on the other hand he is a baddie because he teaches them to steal
