Assuming you want to rid the world of religion to stop war and segregation between cultures I think it's a good idea so long as it establishes peace!.
Although most peaceful countries follow the laws of a majority religion; England, Australia, America to an extent, following the 10 commandments from the old testament of the Bible!. With some changes to match modern times!. So if religion were to be removed would that mean that religions morals and ethics also be removed!?
Perhaps a universal religion would be more effective!.
Or, alternately, ridding the world of money!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

First of all you couldn't rid the world of religion because God wouldn't allow that!. There is no religion that causes wars except radical Islam!.

Before the United States, all of the world was ruled by kings and kings were the cause of all wars!. That is because all kings are naturally greedy, power hungry people!. How do you think that they became kings!?

If someone inherited a kingdom, if he wasn't greedy, power hungry and devious; he wouldn't be able to keep the kingdom!. There are still kings in the world and they are still causing all the wars!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Concerted efforts at this juncture to rid the world of the scapegoated and scandalised institution of religion by the very institution that cast religion and God into disrepute is indeed a great and unwise folly!.

The media wolf at the door is a greater enemy than any religion espousing morality and honour could ever be!.

Amalgamating all religions into one is a better idea!. Seeking one such globally trusted religious leader able to command such respect required to accomplish a not so insurmountable a mission!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Our present day God is the only 'almighty' deity in history to ask for money with percentages included!. Up until the past 2 hundred years, religion had you killed as a heretic for questioning it, but now more and more people are!. Mankind is tired of believing in hob-goblins and other things that never show up, but ask for money!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

We shouldn't rid the world of religion or science!. The world would be fairly boring without both or if one is missing!. Besides, religion and science are totally different things!. Religion tries to reach a conclusion on WHY things exist and our purpose in life!. While science focuses on HOW things work in the world!. Most people don't get that!. Then they think it's either "science or religion!." I'm interested in science and I'm religious!. (Never an extremist though!.)

And for those who say that religion is the evil of all the world- There are many other factors rather than religion: greed, jealousy, envy, anger, bigotry, etc!. We also have radical people- and most aren't radical for religion (Brown, for example, he was against slavery, he was the ultimate radical ABOLITIONIST!.) We'd still have those stuff if there were no religion at all!. Most wars are driven by greed, envy, anger, bigotry, etc!. (Aren't those feelings plain human nature!?)

I'm afraid it's too late to do that!. From 2009 to 2039 the Church and the World will undergo very great sufferings and changes!. In 2009, a war among Arab/Muslim nations of the Middle East and northern Africa will unite these nations under the leadership of Iraq and Iran!. Iraq will invade and occupy Syria and other Arab nations!.About 2010, a long and bloody war begins!. It is World War 3!. After the small war among Arab nations, the Arabs will join forces!. They will threaten and attack the US!.Next they will attack all of Europe, parts of Eastern Europe, and the northern part of Africa!.This will be a war against nations and also a war against the Christian Faith!. religion is a product of social circumstances!.in the early stages of human society man had no control over forces of nature,sun,wind,fire,flood etc!.and feared them!.so he started worshipping them as various gods!.similarly hostile and powerful social forces gave birth to the concept of fate,god etc!.religion will wither away as man gains more and more
control over these forces!.conscious efforts by enlightened
people can strengthen and expedite this process but cannot

I dont think religion should be got rid of, it is a comfort to many people and almost like an insurance policy, ie by following these rules, you will have a life after death!.

Ha ha, I am a Buddhist but not really 'swear by it'!. I believe each people have their own 'God' to believe in, so we shouldn't probe and changing their mindset!. Religion all teaches us the same things!. Being peaceful, having benevolence, forgiveness, enlightenment!. But i really don;t know why conflicts can break out due to religious reasons!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
