Question:

I was in the meat dept, and I saw a lady standing about 2 inches close to some meat liver that was on the floor!. I told her politely that she was standing next to some slippery meat!. I proceed to go over to the paper towel section and wipe it up off the floor!.

Then a dic** of a guy who works there comes out and says I shouldn't have done that!.

I told him look 99 cents for the paper towl, or 10K for medical bills!. He looked at me dumfoundedly!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.

What would you have done wiped it up yourself, or left it alone!?!?!?!? I cared about the lady!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Next time you notice something like this talk to the Manager of the Meat Department, he really needs to know how poorly his section is supervised!. In all the years I have shopped at the Super Market I have never seen liver or any meat on the floor, if I had I would no longer shop there!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I am a little confused by the employee's behaviour!. Did he, by any chance, mean that it was left on the floor on purpose!?

Are you saying you opened a package (or single roll) of paper towels to clean it up!? Then that was sort of wasteful, unless you planned to buy it!. You probably could have just informed the person behind the counter and/or kicked it right up next to the wall so nobody stepped on it!. But it was nice of you to care!Www@QuestionHome@Com
