Why can't Christians just respect that everyone is different and we all come

Question: Why can't Christians just respect that everyone is different and we all come to God in different ways!?

What will it take for them to stop pointing fingers!? I am not sure that Jesus would appreciate a lot of what is carried out in his name!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, if you are Jewish, or Moslem, or any other of the main faiths, the true Christians respect that you feel you have a way to God!. Some overzealot ones, however, try to confuse the issue by believing that theirs is the one true way, only through thier own special sect of the church!. So, if you are a strong believer in your own special version, then you two may be just another of the hundreds who have began their own special version of how to get to heaven through what you think is God's word to man!. Because almost all of the thoughts recorded came from individuals giving their own versions of God's word, too!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Oh we do, but really get tired of others religions being shoved down our throats-why can't other religions respect that we chose to be christians-in order to get respect-it needs to be given!.!.!.Even no solicitation signs with including other religions written on it besides christians does'nt work or burning food on the stove or kids half beating eachother to death either-or slamming the door-as one lady opened it back up which resulted in almost a charge of breaking and entering!!.!.!.Respect is returned when given!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'm not Christian, but when your religion doesn't leave any room for change - the only way to god is through jesus - they can't!. And that is how it is for islam too!. It is their way or the highway!.

My question is, do they want to save everyone!?

If i saw that guy walking in the fog to his demise I would probably let him fall in to the ravine, after all if he doesn't have the sense to be more careful, I don't think I want him in heaven with me!. Would I want someone to do the same for me!? Yes!. On the other hand you could also gain something from that, and potentially lose!.

christians are just part of a religion that is just like all the other religions!. they all say theirs is the only religion, yet they all tell people the same ****!. moslems are the same way!. they go around forcefully converting people, or trying to impose their beliefs on others!. remember, you can have a strong belief in god and be very spirtitual without being involved in religion!. religion is just a way to control people!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

One, it's in the basic Christian makeup for them to evangelize!. They're supposed to spread the gospel so they can convert the masses!.

Secondly, when I think of all the atrocities done in the name of God, I think of a little piece from the last Narnia book, "The Last Battle!." There are two great beings named in the book--Aslan himself, and another being called Tashlan!. Aslan good, Tashlan evil, basically!. To paraphrase, Aslans says that anything evil done in Aslan's name is claimed as service to Tashlan, and anything good done in Tashlan's name is claimed as service to Aslan!. Basically, the intention of the act is claimed by the deity who represents the polarity of that act!. Aslan good, Tashlan evil!.

I myself am not Christian (I am pagan), but I think that in Christian circles, Satan is having a grand old time in church!. What better way for the Devil to hide than in the guise of a good solid Christian who is advocating separatism, hate, and intolerance!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

I know he wouldn't like alot of what is done in his name but he likes nothing at all that is done outside faith in God and his name!. Works without faith are meaningless !.!.!.

Some Christians do respect other beliefs!.!. As an Atheist myself, I've met plenty of intelligent, thoughtful Christians!. !. Likewise Jews, Muslims, etc!. Not every believer is a fanatic!. People need to believe in something!. But nor does faith prevent stupidity!. I met a really thick Buddhist the other day!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I'm sure you're right - Jesus would condemn an awful lot of what goes on in his name!. The trouble is PEOPLE aren't perfect, even when they try to be!. They get things wrong!. Doesn't mean God is wrong!. And it's PEOPLE that don't always respect that everyone's different!. Not just Christians, but Muslims, Jews, Hindus, atheists, agnostics and all the others!.

God teaches us that no-one reaches Him except through Jesus Christ!. That is what we believe!. Why would we go back on that essential key to our faith just because other faiths don't agree!? I mean, someone has to be right and someone has to be wrong!. It's a nice thought that all good people will go to heaven, but it's just not up to us - we didn't make the rules!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I have to agree with you on the pointing fingers part!. Christians need to allow God's Time to take its course and not the time that we try to do things!. But, lets be a little realistic here!. There will never be Respect amongst different Religions!. Just for the reason its apart of the: I'm Right your Wrong Society!. Since this is what makes up this World!.

Jesus made a very interesting statement in John 14:6- I am the Way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me!.

Am I telling you that there is Only one way!? No, I am not!. But, the Bible is telling you and the whole world that!. According to Jesus he is the Only Door unto Eternal Resting!. As a Follower of Christ myself, I have to tell you!. Jesus can give you peace of mind when you think you are bout to go insane!. He is a Healer!. He has healed me numerous of times from diseases!. He has fought battles for me when I didn't know what to do!. But, God and Jesus respect anyones decision that they make about following other idols!. But, with decisions comes accountability!. There will be a price to pay one way or the other!. This is why God gave man Free-Will!. But, even though their might be 1,000,000 Different Gods and Thoughts about other Gods!. That don't mean everyones right!. Lets let God be God!. And, Lets let Jesus be the Door unto God!. We cant believe what man tries to tell us!. I cannot speak for all Christians but my heart breaks for those that do not recognize that Christ is the ONLY way to eternal life!. If you saw me walking in a fog towards a ravine would you "respect" my path to certain death or would you warn me!?
