Question: Do you think it makes philosophical sense to be an optimist!? Why!?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Yes, if you think philosophicaly that nothing in life can be predicted or avoided, and so I will take whatever comes and deal with it then, instead of sitting around worrying about it now, and ruining my "Now" in the process!. Supposing you were told you are to die in 1week!. You would die every moment worrying about death, how it will affect the family etc!.instead of just once!. If you did not know, you'd spend that time, going to a party, a trip, to a friends house etc!. So what is better, knowing or not knowing!? And if you do not know, wouldn't you rather think or expect positive things rather than the morbid ones!. It will keep you healthy, SANE and happy to be optimist rather then a pesstimist,Www@QuestionHome@Com

"Philosophical sense!?" "Optimism!?" "Why!?" YES! When a person goes through life espousing optimism, they live on positive hope for something good to happen in their lives, and the lives of their friends!. If they look for ward to good things, then good things occur!. A person with a positive outlook will always live a better life, than someone who view their world, as a sink hole of morbid events!. It is said, !.!.!."the optimist sees the glass as 'half-full"!.!.!. I'm sure you know the other half of the saying!. You know!.!.!."half-empty"!. Which sounds better!? As far, as being philosophical sense, well, all that is, is how do you look at things and are the things you see as an optimist valid!? If you are an optimist, then you act to achieve your goals!. So, that means that doing so, makes philosophical sense!. If you set goals that are not attainable, say!.!.!.being able to jump over a tall building, then, no, being optimistic about such an event taking place, is not philosophically sensible!. We are, still being philosophical aren't we!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Of course!! Optimism has been shown to be correlated with better immune systems in healthy people who have been subjected to stress, and life is simply too short to always be concerned about the negative things!.
