Question: Was Bruce Lee considered a Philosopher!?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
I think so, considering his wise canter in the arts of Martial arts!. Yes without a doubt!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Cant say that I am one to recommend who is a philosopher and who is not due to credentials, but I would admit that Bruce Lee did study philosophy and tried to merge that with his fighting style and art!.

I would highly recommend him as a philosopher in the fighting arts and wonder why he is not realized for his contribution rather than philosophy remaining on the questions of the mind, society and what is out there!.

Maybe its because within philosophy, there are rules regarding how one proves their theory, so if a philosopher proves their theory in a different light, then other major philosophers may frown upon such practices!. Consider the situation between why Bertrand Russell hated Frederick Nietzsche philosophy due to considering Fredrick to be more of a poet!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Indeed he was, but with a 'p' in the lower case, i!.e!. "philosopher"!. He had a way of looking at the world through his pugilism, but the perception lacks substance and depth to qualify for philosophy in the class of Hegel or Hume!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

We are all philosophers, in as much as we all have 'philosophies', but it's not his number one claim to fame !!Www@QuestionHome@Com
