What is maturity?

Question: What is maturity!?

I was recently accused of being immature!. I've never thought of myself as being immature, but there it was!. I'm pretty goofy, but I'm not the one who giggles every time somebody says penis!. I'm also not one to take every single thing ridiculously personally and be brought to tears over it (actually I probably wouldn't have posted this, but it's happened before)!. People take life to seriously, and I'm able to enjoy it!. What's so wrong with that!? I don't hurt anyone, I take care of my responsibilities, I'm not lazy!. I crack jokes, I have fun!. Is that a bad thing!? I'd like to know what exactly makes people think of me as immature, so just give me your definitions I suppose!. (Apologies on the rant)Www@QuestionHome@Com

On the more serious side, I think a lot of people equate maturity to seriousness which is not always the case!. Some people can be serious but are not matured!. Take some president for example!. :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

To me, maturity means being able to put others before yourself; to do the right thing, even when you don't 'want' to!.

Being silly and goofy have nothing to do with maturity, imnsho!.

There is no definition mature or immature!.

My feeling is 'explore your world', try anything you can, then think about your past experience, trust your inner heart tell you truth!.

Maturity is when someone farts in a busy lift and you are more concerned with the fact that it might smell than you are with realising and enjoying the humour of the situation!.
