Only a living entity can have goals or can originate them!. And it is only a living organism that has the capacity for self-generated, goal-directed action!. On the physical level, the functions of all living organisms, from the simplest to the most complex—from the nutritive function in the single cell of an amoeba to the blood circulation in the body of a man—are actions generated by the organism itself and directed to a single goal: the maintenance of the organism’s life!.

An organism’s life depends on two factors: the material or fuel which it needs from the outside, from its physical background, and the action of its own body, the action of using that fuel properly!. What standard determines what is proper in this context!? The standard is the organism’s life, or: that which is required for the organism’s survival!.

If everything is evolving and changing then who you were a moment ago is already dead!.

It is only your 'idea' of yourself, your 'identity' that appears to be constant!.

Death is just the flipside of Birth!.
You are Born in every moment too!.

Creation and Destruction are just the result of a conceptual splitting of the process of change!.!.!.!.

You build a house!.!.!. so what has happened to your lovely pile of bricks!?
You knock your house down, wow a pile of bricks has been created!.

Birth or death is just change looked at from different points of view!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If that were someone's life's ambition, I bet that person would succeed!.!.!.

"My goal is to die"
"Good luck with that"

Seriosuly though, I believe death is just a passageway that leads to everlasting life!. Hopefully, that place will be a good one for you and me!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I like to think life as a journey rather than a destiny!. The object of physical life could be to reach its peak condition and blossom for a time period!. However, as it goes in the circle of life, there will come a time when we have to bow out gracefully!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
