Insight is acquired in your day to day!.

Insight is an innate gift!. Philosophy is a state of mind!.

The two usually co-exist but are distinctly different!.

You can have insight without being philosophical and vice-versa!.

However, in order to take full advantage of insight it is desirable to be philosophical in order to fully understand!.

Being philosophical is ok too - but without insight it lacks true meaning,

Philosophy is the discipline concerned with questions of how one should live (ethics); what sorts of things exist (metaphysics); the nature of knowledge (epistemology); and the principles of reasoning (logic)!.

An insight is the derivation of a rule which links cause with effect!. The mind is a model of the universe built up from insights!. Thoughts of the mind fall into 2 categories: 1) Analysis of past experience with the purpose of gaining insight for use within this model at a later date; and 2) Simulations of future scenarios using existing insights in the mind model in order to predict outcomes!. A mature mind has assimilated many insights and understands cause and effect!. When insight is not subordinate to a validation discipline like the 'scientific method', fallacious thinking can result in a confused mind!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

insight is more likely gained from personal experience
philosophy is generally known for ideas as opposed to experience of these ideas!.!.!.
if one has exerience of something it isnt a philosophy
its experience (and maybe called insight)
