I do not know if it is so short!. This is a matter of Relativity!. Anyway, of course I (we) try to give my (our) best!. Why!? Because it is nice to have a clean conscience!. Anyway, we are subjected to committing mistakes, and we can never really know if what we do is really the best or just something good (or even something that we think to be good, but actually isn't good)!. I certainly have a conscience but I don't think I always follow it - sometimes I do things even though my conscience tells me I shouldn't!. Then I feel bad about it and know I should have followed my conscience! I think "we should do good always" is too absolute - I TRY to do good always, but life is too short to do the things you don't really want to do!. For example if you're homosexual and you're conscience tells you it is wrong to be homosexual, then I think life is too short to make yourself unhappy just for following your conscience!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I sure do!. I wasted enough time with petty nonsense, and am now able to see how much pain is on the planet, and that mine is really irrelevant in the big picture!. I always help whenever I can to alleviate struggles - even if it is in a small way, it's something!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
