The Jedi follow a code of life, a philosophy that answers the questions why, what, and how we should live; all that!. I dont think Yoda was the first Jedi, the creator of the code, so i guess he wouldnt be a philosopher, just a teacher!.

By the way, the Jedi philosophy is horrible, but it applies to a different world than ours, a world in a galaxy far far away!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

He's an advanced Jedi, and like all advanced Jedi, he has insights and psychic abilities which makes him wise!. He's not a philosopher per se since he isn't concerned over why he exist or who he is or why he thinks or perceives things the way he does, he's more like a psychic who uses his abilities to preserve the galaxy and the freedom necessary for evolution and life to continue unoppressed and unrestricted!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
