Yes with out a doubt!. The world is full of philosophers!. They just do not know it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes, of course you can be a philosopher, but you have to study and read a good number of books!. Here you can study this subject in the University and so you have to have already a good educational background!. Philosophy is the love of learning and so this is a subject that will never end even though you gain the Ph!.D, that is Doctor of Philosophy!.
In a more basic way, everyone is to a standard a philosopher which is how the mind tackles problems and how one looks at life!. You can have a very learned person but when it comes to everyday philosophy he is zero!. This is more known as the philosophy of life!. This can be gained by experience or the way you look at life!. I can tell you that it is an interesting subject eventhough you don't go to the highest stages of it!. It can help you in your life!. Be prepared to think and think deeper even on just a word like 'IS' or 'BEING'!. You will be surprised how it can go in its meaning!. If you love such things than there is nothing like philosophy!. You will enjoy it!.
Good luck!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Everybody is a philosopher deep down!. We all have your own philosophies in life!. And yes, you could be an official philosopher if you are not satisfied with your own current philosophy and wondering to 'polish' it!.

My advice is to you is earning a philosophy degree will be great, however, when it comes to jobs, its almost useless!. Get a minor degree or find a proper job first before pursuing philosophy etc, or you could even think of becoming an attorney!. A lot of pre-law students take philosophy!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Not likely, you could consider yourself to be such but if you were to expect that by virtue of such an arbitrary question that I or another would classify you as such, well it would be a lowered standard of the term in my opinion!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Philosophy has been dismissed for years as secondary to science, which currently is in it's own quandary as it has failed to provide the utopia it promised!.

A blend between the rational and the transcendental is what the world needs!. I actually admire those who act while erring over those who are enlightened but as limp as a wet noodle!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

read "The Conscious Mind" "In Search of a Fundamental Theory" by David J!. Chalmers, if you get it, maybe!.!.!.!.!.!.

Oh, I am sorry I thinking in terms of being an exceptional one (one that can add to the argument) not one that can make a living at it at a decent billable rate!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Not with these types of questions!.

Philosopher's don't often wake up one morning and say 'hey, i want to be come a philosopher!'!. Usually they have a strong belief in something and it leads to them becoming a philosopher!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
