Question: What do you think instinct is!?
You know about maternal instincts or that phrase "follow your gut instinct!?" Well, what do you think that is: is it a set of clues in your environment that signal danger in a subtle way or is it something else, something almost like a sixth sense that can not be explained!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

An instinct of self-preservation is precisely what man does not possess!. An “instinct” is an unerring and automatic form of knowledge!. A desire is not an instinct!. A desire to live does not give you the knowledge required for living!. And even man’s desire to live is not automatic !. !. !. Your fear of death is not a love for life and will not give you the knowledge needed to keep it!. Man must obtain his knowledge and choose his actions by a process of thinking, which nature will not force him to perform!. Man has the power to act as his own destroyer—and that is the way he has acted through most of his history!.

Pre-programmed reponse, almost like a reflex action!. It's been programming since the dawn of mankind, in the old days we've to be quick on our feet and figure out the situation correctly and take the best possible way, otherwise we would either be killed by other tribe hunters or be eaten by wild animals!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
It's when you act without reason or explanation!. Instinct is always followed by action!. I don't think there can be instinct without environment though, so maybe the outside world has something to do with it too!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
