Totally!. I often overdose on information, so I take naps and sleep for 9 hours, I am constantly hungry, my brain needs food and it needs all that time to process information!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

it depends on who is reading and what they read!. there are people that even if they know that they are reading fictional books!.!.!.they tend to be taken in by the book and feel to be in the book!. schizo people may slip to this stage and sometimes hurt themselves in the process( an example)!.sometimes when a person is very much attached to his/her emotional side and felt to be one with the character of the book s/he reads, sometimes they tend to feel to much of the emotions the in book!. ever heard of "Stan", ( well, eminem's song)!? put it in book/read form and it conveys the same sense!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I believe that the answer to that is relative to the individuals ability to process information in a coherent manner, whether the book contains nonfiction or fiction, and the rate at which one reads!. It's highly possible to become mentally exhausted after reading a great quantity of books, especially LAW BOOKS as said earlier in the answers and also in any informational books, math,English, science, history!. I tend to read heavy textbooks from my schooling and as a result i come home tired and have to take a 6-8 hour nap just from reading so much, appetite also increases as it helps give the body energy to function!. This is common knowledge for me, having read a great number of things on human behavior and processing information!. Thanks for posting the question, no question is stupid or not worth a lengthy reply!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If you live by it, you may die by it!. Better not to do anything in extremes!.

I have never learned of a medical term for aquiring too much knowledge, or reading too much, though!.

It is probably a very rare problem, just ask a law school student!. (Higher suicide rates in the overly-acidemic world, coincidence you say about killing the self in your question!. !. !. )Www@QuestionHome@Com

Not that I know of!.!. This is a very good question!.!. Hehe, sometimes I think that I myself might die of reading too much!.!. I'm like addicted!

I have never heard of some kind of critical condition or disease caused by knowing too much or reading too much, but if there is, I am sure I am one of the people in that category!

Hope I helped!Www@QuestionHome@Com

No, however they can read a book so boring that they fall asleep, I've done it before, the book was terrible!. (Thats not overdosing though)
But there is no physical harm that reading could do to you, just psychological!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
