Can we survive without technology?

Question: Can we survive without technology!?

One day humans were hunter/gatherers, we knew the earth and everything in it!.
If technology failed us and we had to give it up, can the human mind revert to survival times!?

Of couse!. Just ask your grandparents how they survived without the internet!. And then they'll tell you how their grandparents survived without !.!.!. everything before that!. etc, etc!.!.!.!.
Some survive even today without technology!.

To survive, one do not need technology and so called comforts!. Humans shall adopt amzingly to all kinds of situations, and become norma within that!. With all the technologies gone, and civilisation finished, humans shall also become different from what they used to be, in a reverse manner of course!.

reawakening of all knowledge is hypothetical, but surely knowledge shall slowly begin again, and shall go on developing in steady pace!.

There are many instances of lost civilisation and lost knowledge in history!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

To move back to a hunter/gatherer situation we would struggle, I'm talking simple tools, Iron Age at best!. With the level of population we have, disease would be rife within weeks and a massive part of the population would simply die out from all manner of plagues!.

Our longevity (sp!?) would plummet, a simple flu or harsh winter would hit us badly!.!.!. breaking a leg could make you essentially useless to your community!. Childbirth would be tricky!. Initially life would be very frustrating on a practical level!.!.!. having to learn how to do everything from first principle!.!.!. the Ray Mears types amongst us would float to the top but also probably be encouraged to hide away in their own communities for fear of being kidnapped, murdered etc!. Knowledge is power, after all!.!.!. and in the land of the blind, the one eyed man is King!.
This sort of knowledge is not innate!.!.!. it is handed down from father to son, mother to daughter!.!.!. even something as simple as making fire!.!.!. Ray Mears, incidentally, actually reintroduced firestarting to a South Pacific community that had lost it through technology!.!.!. they were most appreciative, a very good episode if you can find it!.

Of course, to get into such a position in the first place, a massive amount of knowledge would have to be lost in the first place!.!.!. most technology is produced by people in the first place so why and how these skills would be lost is unfathomable!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The ironic thing is that you actually believe humans are better than animals!. Show me one person in this modern world that isnt out for themselves!? Just because we use the internet instead of a rock only means we are more intelligent!.!.!. it doesnt mean we are any less instinctual!. Take on a more cynical and misanthropic view of humanity and I guarantee your understanding of human behavior will improve!. There has always been technology, as soon as the first wheel was made we became reliant on it!.

If technology failed the big problem would be food shortage as technology, irrigiation, chemicals allow us to produce more food from the same piece of land!. Malawi doubled its food production just by doing these simple things!. Problem is before populations thin and spread out, now there is tension over land, which means war, to win wars you need technology and so the cycle returns!.

i think we could survive as before technology was around people were surviving!. we can survive but without it , it would make our lives harder!. but then we would get used to it by writing a good old letter instead of a text!. people nowadays have busy lives and technology helps them out by getting things done quicker!. we can survive just that our lives would have to be done slower!. and really all you need to 'survive is warmth, food and water' and we would have all that!. things would just have to be done the old fashioned way, which isnt bad or anything but it can be slower which people dont like!. at first, people would think they couldnt survive but then they would get used to it and would still live lol!. xxxWww@QuestionHome@Com

One day soon the human race will out invent itself!. People are little more than batteries at the moment and with the creation of technology at the current rate of technical evolution, the world will only spiral downwards and when technology fails people will have to revert back to the stone age where the entertainment was through social activity rather than press button entertainment!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Can we survive without technology!? If you mean the toaster oven, the HD tv, or the leaf blower, yes!. But if you mean culture, we wouldn't have to live without it!. There are times that I've felt the most comforting form of culture is the campfire!.
