Funny question in the first part where you did ask, whether one has to be optimistic to motivate others! Huh Huh Huh ----do you think that "To be optimistic" is a kind of hypocrisy!? Do you want me to be optimistic only for others to motivate!? Not myself ultimately!? Listen, we ALL should have to be OPTIMISTIC-------doesn't matter others are motivated or not!. In the second part you desired or expected that let the society be enriched with optimistic people, right!? That's nice of you, no doubt!. being optimistic doesnt mean your always smiling and expecting everything to be perfect, its just a conviction that you can accomplish what you need to do, and people can sense that, if someone cant even assert themselves then sure hell they cant convince others!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Motivation can be positive or negative and drive other around you in the same direction!.
I will agree in that the optimistic are better to have around!.
