Yes (oh, maybe actually I guess)!. There was a time when I first tried to learn how to meditate the Zen Buddhist way!. At that time I suppose one could say that the seemingly endless chatter in my brain was an obsessive compulsive disorder which implied that I was afraid to totally stop thinking for awhile!. It was as though if it were possible to do so, I might not ever be able to start a though process again!. Nonetheless, I had the courage to try this method in which the first part of instruction tells you to stop that endless chatter in your mind by ceasing the naming or labeling of objects and actions in your mind with words!. If you are capable of doing so it results in about as peaceful of a state of mind as you can experience!. You also become aware of the environment surrounding you as it really is without the interpretation of ideas about it!. It might not be easy to achieve this at first, but once you learn the secret of it, it results in the easiest thing you can do!. You can also use this discipline to perceive the arising of thoughts in your mind in a whole different way!. As though you are experiencing them instead of causing them!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes!. And I think that's how most of my problems are generated!. I make my own problems with thinking too much into things that have no meaning!.

She was tired today!. She wore a black bra under her green athlete!. I stood behind her and the light coming from the window showed me the blond hairs on her arm!. Then we sat down!. I looked under the table!. She wore no shoes!. She has ugly feet!. Then her oldest daughter came out(of course, didn't say hi to me)!. Then her youngest daughter and her mother arrived too!. The other daughter did not say hi to me either!. She also came in to talk to her!. AND she made me leave 15 minutes early!.

My mother, ex-girlfriends and therapists have all said I think too much and would be happier if I thought less!. Maybe they're right!. Or maybe they just interpret my thoughts as superfluous because they don't understand them!. Is it pretentious for me to think that!? Those same people have also lauded me for my intelligence!. Did they praise me just to shut me up or try to build up my confidence!? I don't know!. What do you think!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

is there ever too much!? I love to think, we all have brains so we should use them!. Thinking is the most enjoyable aspect of life mainly because without thought we are nothing!. Without thought we do not appreciate the life around us, we become dull and slow, we live life in a meandering of pointless endevours!. As to thinking too much!. Well nothing wrong with that!. as i said before, where do you draw the line at too much!. I guess if you think yourself to death then that would be thinking too much!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
