Question: Kill 1k to save 5k or kill 1mill to save 500k!?

The 1,000 you kill is to save for the greater good of 5,000 from lets say a war, and soliders are attacking civilians and 1,000 in an area are going to die anyway so you kill them!. or you kiill 1 million people that are going to revolt and join a cult for shure, and save 500,000 inoccent bistandars, who would of been infected with a dieses generated!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It is ridiculous to posit an absurdity under utilitarian ethics!. Every ethics system in certain situations imposes moral contradictions or moral dilemmas!. Utilitarian ethics is no different!.
