We live in the age of technology and rampant extreme consumer driven industrialisation!. The education system therefore doesn’t teach philosophy because man is not required to think but to labour!. He is taught a skill, a profession and his destiny is to work and prosper his nation!.

In moderation it is mans duty to prosper his home and nation, in extreme times man is damned to little else but turning of the communal and collective grindstone!.

We live in darkened times !.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The military has more money but it doesn't go very far!.

I went to a school rife with political hacks as teachers who's only qualification to teach was their relationship to the school board or the city council!. I have Friends who got straight B's and can't read!.

I managed to get a fairly good education out of the place!. And I came in 930th of 2000 students!

When I lived in Boston, there were two schools within two blocks of each other near where I lived, one all black, with no books, armed guards, blacked out windows, metal detectors and a dirt lawn!. The other school had (mostly) white students, crossing guards, a beautiful lawn and a 1950's environment!. What does their BOTH being public and in the same community say about poor education!? It is a function of class and race profiling!. Lack of money has nothing to do with it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Why is the quality of public students so remedial!?!?!?

I don't think it's specifically an issue of who has more money, but that our public school systems are not being fully funded and equally funded!. also, quality of public funding still isn't enough; many of those in educational administration "mismanage" their micro-bureaucracies!.
"No Child Left Behind" certainly isn't helping matters!.

However, I can't help but go back to my question, (based on continuous personal experience) -- the means of education are there, if a student and/or parent doesn't find the classroom setting enough, there's always the addition of public libraries and their own efforts!.
Personal Responsibility goes a long, long way in the end!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

it depends on what you mean by "education"!. it would seem like more money would lead to a 'better school' perhaps!. however, the utter lack of quality in the public school system i believe is primarily due to the enormous greed in the political system!. a person really has to decide what their primary motivation is in life, before they can examine what a proper education is for them!. a student of life is always more succesful than a student of books!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

not really!. technically it's the same knowledge floating around everywhere, but if you have more money the schools you go to look fancier to employers, or colleges, the contacts you make are in more important positions, so your opportunity for employment is better!.

though something could be said for better teachers teaching private for better pay, and the more expensive, the better payed the teachers are so the better they are!. but truly i could only see that being a huge difference for university where the difference between professors can be like either einstein or just some other guy!.

and maybe also more current textbooks for private schools and more current equipment!. this i think would be the biggest difference!. like computers vs no computers!. but again this would be more visible in university than other schools because truly most of the knowledge in the lower grades has been around for centuries!.

private schools probably have more "better behaved" students, like the difference between having dogs in a dog show and just a pet dog!. but i think that looking "better behaved" is the look of money rather than the look of education!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes and no!. Yes, because private schools have higher quality education, and people with money can afford to go to a private school!. An average kid can attend one on a scholarship!.
No, because there are some public schools with high quality education!. Maybe not as high as private schools, but they're not all bad or that bad!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

More and more money has been put into the schools and better and better textbooks!. Teachers have to go for more and more workshops and higher education!. So I rather think the problem must be with the students!. They do not see education as a great privledge, they have other things on their mind, and many parents both work and aren't as involved day to day with their school work!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The qUALITY OF PUBLIC EDUCATON ISN'T POOR!. IT;S THE QUALITY OF THE STUDENTS SENT TO PUBLIC SCHOOLS WHICH ARE POOR!. TEACHERS HAVE SO MANY THINGS TO DEAL WITH ALONG WITH TEACHING SOME BAFOONS WHO WOULD RATHER NOT LEARN!. IT;S DEFINITLY NOT THE QUALITY OF THE EDUCATION BECAUSE SOME WONDERFUL WELL ACCOMPLISHED PEOPLE HAVE COME FROM A PUBLIC EDUCATION!. ITS ALL ABOUT THE WAY PPL ARE RAISING THEIR CHILDREN THESE DAYSWww@QuestionHome@Com

Having money generally means living in a wealthier area
Living in a wealthier area generally means more taxes are paid
More taxes being paid means more funding for schools in that area
and vice versa for not having money!.
So yes, I agree!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Private schools are crap!. My friend went to one and he said it was torture!. Just the fact that most of them have a religion class is proof that they suck!.

It's actually private schools that are often underfunded!. They will take anyone as long as you have the money!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

survival of the fittest!. the ones with the most toys wins!.
if u cant afford education, you will have to settle with the "others" who fall into the same mentality, habits and lifestyle as you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No!. If you are more wanting of becoming more knowledgable you should get better quality education!. Money should never be a factor!. -_- Not so much a dumb or smart, but the people who want more get more!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
