At first, I can easily say benefit!. But then I look and see that technology has caused the destruction of much of our planet and leaves many people plugged into computers 24/7!. Most of the literature in the Sci-Fi genre seems pessimistic as well!. So now I see no easy guess!. What do you think!?Www@QuestionHome@Com
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: technology is not alone either good or bad for us in the future!. it is how technology is applied!. our habits of consuming without limit, producing without limit, and leaving it up to free market to decide how we use technology i don't think is good for mankind!. but technology certainly can be because this is how knowledge is obtain and elaborated upon, and knowledge is the most valuable of things!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Everything has both positive and negative aspects, it is not correct to categorize technology on either one but both!. To me, it seems like it does more good than harm!. Technology makes life easier, no one can possibly argue with that; now simple labors are done by machines, etc!. Biotechnology is also useful because now we are able to treat patients better hence safe surgeries, etc!. 'Detriment' side of technology is: our jobs selections will be getting narrower and narrower because technology dominates simple labors, if a person is not specialized, it is likely that he/she will find harder time getting a job!. If you are a believer you will know that some part of technology conflicts with your god, ie cloning, that can also be a 'detrimental' side of technology!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Well eventually the switch from computers used as stationary entertainment (you sit down and browse) will change soon enough, bionics are coming to a raise!. Sports involving gizmos will be around, I see it more opptimistic for those who will adapt!. Two weeks ago a man made the first Bionic robot suit!. He did simple tasks inside the mech!. Now yes with every thing we bring up negatives will come with!. How ever for every weapon we make we will make an armour to protect ourselves from it!. I look at it like this, yes ultimatly robots will have more meaning than humans, but humans will sure enough make things to make themselves better, stronger, faster, ect, ect!. and that will be were technology goes, less lazy things more creative works!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Technology as a tool is a benefit!.
