Question: Does ones looks affect how people treat each other!?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Yes, and it's horrible!. If people looked past looks and paid more attention to personalities, we would meet a lot more interesting peopleWww@QuestionHome@Com

Yes!. Biologically we are driven to find mates to reproduce!. For human males that means finding a willing partner that is female!. The way a female "looks" (perceived beauty) is often a measure of his success in mating!. Human males compete in all endeavors - and mating is an ultimate sport!. For females it is a much more complex set of problems!. Females mature much more quickly and have built in lie detectors - often referred to as intuition!. Though females do not rely entirely on intuition, they are much more selective than males when choosing a mate!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Society sets out the "rules" for who is pretty, beautiful, lovely, ugly, homely, etc!.
YES!!! The way one looks affects the way others treat you!.
But, when you become mature enough, you say "So What!?" only in more explitive words!.
You come to see, or I would hope you would, that outer appearance is deceiving!. The inner person, their heart, their mind, is what is beautiful!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

In todays society, i think it does!.
We have become an image oriented society in which people rely on the outside rather than the inside!.
And theres a lot of people prejudice against different groups,
I think that everyone doesn't like a certain group that dresses a different way, even if they don't know it!.
I recall an experiment from a kid in my class and he tried dressing differently to get different reactions!.
(Man, that guy was funny)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes, it's usually the pretty ones that get treated with more respect!.!.!. But with me it's the complete opposite!. Not to say that I treat pretty people horribly, but I DO go out of my way to be nicer to people seem like they don't have the highest self esteem!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I myself find this interesting!. I have very short natural hair!.!.!.!. I find that I get my fair share of compliments, but when I wear my wig!.!.!.people just pay more attention!. Men response differently!.

I don't have any scientific proof, just from general observations!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I have found that the so-called better looking people are usually the ones who are meaner and nasty to the so called ugly people, not visa-versa!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It shouldn't, but it does!. People are kinder to those they are attracted to!. They are also hostile toward those they view as competition!. (Especially if they consider themselves to be at a disadvantage)Www@QuestionHome@Com
