Question: Do more people think its is right or wrong to be gay!?

I have to agree with Wise Pagan!. I think that homosexuality is just a variant in sexual attraction that may have more to do with nature than nurture!. Some researchers estimate that about 10% of humans are homosexual!. Many who are will tell you that they were aware of this from a very young age!. My point is, most people don't choose to be homosexual, it is just a part of who they are!. If this is the case, then condemning them for certain behaviors does not make sense!. It would only make sense if they were religious heterosexuals who purposely decided to act in a sinful way!.

Sexual orientation does not make a person inherently "good" or "bad"!. Each of us has the ability to choose whether we will live in ways that will help or harm ourselves and others!.

During the last century, we have seen so many positive changes regarding equal rights, especially equal rights for women and people who belong to minorities!. Each struggle was hard won!. There was so much fear about change!.

So, tell me: do you think that a woman or an African American should have less rights than someone else!? I would bet that you would find that idea ridiculous!. But, less than a century ago, IT WASN'T!.

I think that the next big hurdle we have to surmount is to regard homosexuals as individuals who are entitled to the same respect and rights as the rest of our population!. But, many people will have to discard their fear and predjudice in order for that to happen!.

Although it might seem strange to you, scripture and religious dogma was used extensively to rationalize the same kinds of exclusionary behavior toward those eariler groups who were considered "bad" or "inferior" and who were denied basic civil rights!.

It may take some time, but I think that eventually more people will not see homosexuality as a moral issue based on Christian doctrine!. It IS a humanistic issue that has to do with tolerance and equality!. I hope I have at least left you with some food for thought!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

it's backwards and self-rightious of people to proclaim that it is against God's will!.!.!. To these people, let me ask you something: Have you spoken to God directly!? We have a bible (that is, a story!.!.!. a good one, but a story nonetheless) dictating your mind-set!.!.!.!?!? people should learn to think for themselves!.

well, I dont know!. I would say more people are definately being exposed to homosexuality more now days!. I try not to judge, but sometimes you have to wonder what example do this set for the kids!.!.!.!.!.!.!.what does this future really hold!. me personally, society seems to accept when an woman engage in to homosexuality but look down on an man if he does it!? I'm trying to figure this one out my self!.

I don't believe that being gay is a choice, it is something that you are born with--like being dominant or submissive!. It's just the way you're born so it is not right or wrong!. I think if people had a choice they would not choose to be outside looking in!.

I do not know!. I do know that no-one believes it is right!. Anyone who is not against it does not believe it to be right!. I am gay and I do not think being gay is right, it just is!.

There is a problem with your question!.

Most people don't think of it as a moral issue until you make them choose like that!.

For instance, if I said "Is it right or wrong to get wet in the rain!?" then it might strike you as odd!.!.!. because people get wet in the rain all the time but you are given an opportunity to disapprove now!.

The next question that follows would be "What should be done to keep people from getting wet in the rain!?"Www@QuestionHome@Com
