It means I want something thoughtful, but something different from what was expected!. For example, if the person is very studious and reads a lot, insteading of getting them a gift card to a random bookstore, get them a certain book that could have to do with an inside joke or something that only they would get!.
Or, for another example, if a person really likes music, instead of getting them an itunes gift card, make them a mix c!.d of song you thought they might enjoy!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
