Question: Captured natives dilemma!?
You are discovering a new world and you come upon a group of about twenty natives!. They take you in and feed you, and you exchange stories of your lands!.

At daybreak, you are woken by the sound of horns!. A gang of armed men on horseback from a rival tribe surround you and take you all prisoner!. You are knocked out!.

When you come round you are tied up!. You frantically explain that you are not one of the natives!. The leader of the gang says that you can go free if you kill one of the natives!. If you refuse, they will kill you all!. What do you do!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

You only say that 'you can go free if you kill one of the natives'!. You do not say that the other natives will be set free once you are set free!. So, it is best to kill the one native and go free, because the armed men might kill the other natives anyway!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I would have to kill one native, although this is a very utilitarian point of view because it is being done for the greatest good for the greatest number of people, there really is no point in everyone dying!. However, how to choose the one person that has to die would be hard!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Great question but this is an individual choice not a public poll!. Our saying what we would do isn't necessarily what we would!. You know that, so what do you want!?Www@QuestionHome@Com
