Question: Love and desire!?
Okay, so this may or may not be what you consider philosophy!. I would put it somewhere else, if there were a clearly better place!.

Someone (in Philosophy) asked what beauty is and I thought, "it's the object of desire!." But someone else answered, it's what is seen through the eyes of love!.

So, please describe, what do you think is the relationship between love (like the love that sees only beauty) and desire (like, ego desire, if you know what that is)!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

The former is fulfilled within the confines of the individual, the latter seeks fulfillment from outside the self!. It is the difference between appreciation and possession!. I'm not sure they can exist in the same package!. They're like love and hate!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If beauty is the object of desire, we desire something because it is beautiful, or something is beautiful because we desire it!? Mind you
that's not the same!. I guess we are back to the cliche that beauty is in the eye of the beholder!. In that case, something is beautiful because we desire it!. Therefore, beauty is not inherent, but determined by our emotions!. That's like love, which is not a physiological emotion but subject to the emotion of our desire!. Therefore, beauty is also subject to desireWww@QuestionHome@Com

You can desire to love
However that won't end up to be true love
True love often comes when least expecting it!.
Because when you desire something you will sometimes twist things around so it fits your desire and that wont have the end result of true loveWww@QuestionHome@Com
